Registrations for the 2009-2010 Colorado Jr. Eagles Season are now being accepted. Please complete the registration form to be placed on our team tryout list.

Returning player deposits are also being accepted at this time. Deposit of $600 paid before June 15, 2009 will guarantee a place in the Jr. Eagles program. Payments can be made via paypal on our website or by check payable to CJE and mailed to 12741 E Caley Ave #142A Englewood 80111.

Colorado Jr; Eagles  3 VS 3 Pond hockey weekend: 
August 8 & 9.  A fun weekend of cross ways pond hockey style games for the following age groups: 8 and under, 9 to 12, 13 to 15, and 16 and above.  No checking for any age group.  Jerseys will be provided, players may form own teams or at large players will be placed on teams. August 8 & 9 9:30-2:45 $55 per player.

Colorado Jr. Eagles Checking camp: 
August 15th 9:30 - 11:00 and 16th 1:15 - 2:45  $75.

Colorado Jr. Eagles Girls Open House:
August 15th 11:15 - 12:45 No Charge.
 
Colorado Jr. Eagles Conditioning Camp:
Group A: peewees, bantams and girls. 
Group B:  Midget Minor and Majors.
August 18, 20, 25, 5:15-6:45. 45 minutes dry-land practice and 45 minutes of on ice conditioning for both groups.
22nd 9:30-11:00 Group A. 11:15-12:45 group B.
23rd 11:30-1:00 Group A.  1:15- 2:45 group B.
$150 per player.

In their inaugural season the Colorado Jr. Eagles girls U19 team won the Mountain States Girls Hockey League State Championship 1-0 over the Colorado Select.

The Jr. Eagles were the number one seed coming into the tournament and therefore earned a bye in game one on Friday night. On Saturday the Eagles girls faced a very scrappy Team New Mexico and came away with a 4-0 win. Kalli Kube scored a hat trick in the game which was highlighted by a beautiful short-handed goal. That win placed the Jr. Eagles into the championship game against a very talented Colorado Select team.

The championship game was extremely well played by both teams. Both goalies turned away every shot until deep into the 3rd period when Lauren Johnson found the top corner to put the Eagles up 1-0. Eagles goalie Shannon Escalante showed why she is one of the premier goalies in the state by turning away everything that the Select threw at her. With time running down the Eagles had to kill off a couple penalties and the Select pulled their goalie adding an extra attacker. Shannon stood tall in net and the Eagles strong defense lead by team captain Lexe Svisco ran out the clock giving the Eagles the win and the championship.

The Colorado Jr. Eagles Squirt C team are league champions for the first time in team history! Pueblo was the site for this years CDYHL Squirt tournament and the first test for the Squirts was a Friday night meeting with Steamboat. The final was Jr. Eagles 6  Steamboat 1 highlighted by a hat-trick for Andy Stasch. Saturday morning was the next test against the home team Pueblo. Down 2-0 with 5 minutes Jr. Eagles Jordan Mazatelli and Dillon Stapleton scored back to back goals to tie the game and send it to overtime which had no scoring leading to a shootout. Cole Halax proved to be the hero as the final shooter scoring to give the Squirts the victory 3-2 leading them to the championship early Sunday morning. Aspen who had beaten the Squirts once this season was the opponent for the Championship. The game winning goal was scored only 12 seconds into the game by Dillon Stapleton as Jonathon Fast stopped all Aspen shots with the Squirts winning the game and the league championship with a shutout 6-0. Congratulations to all of the players as well as Coaches George Wolff and Mike Stasch and continued success in the CAHA State tournament.

Congratulations to the Jr Eagles Pee Wee A team for capturing the CDYHL Championship.  The Jr Eagles beat the Steamboat Pee Wee's in the final game 3-2 in overtime.  The Jr Eagles are now set for the CAHA State Tournament where they hope to bring home a State Championship.
