Wow! Friday night's game vs. the boys was another thriller! There is no doubt we are a 4th period team. :)
As you may or may not know our girls have now beat both bantam teams in shootouts. And both games were extremely close and exciting. It was really great to see the sportsmanship that both teams displayed to each other, the girls were very supportive of the boys and the boys were extremely supportive of the girls. Hopefully we can schedule more games with the boys as the year goes on.
This week is going to be HUGE! This weekend we will play two games and our game on Sunday will be our first official MSGHL league game of the season.
Our upcoming schedule is as follows:
Wednesday Oct. 29th 5:45PM practice at Foothills
Saturday Oct 1st. scrimmage game vs. Ft. Collins 1PM @ Foothills.
Saturday Oct 1st. practice 4:45PM @ Foothills.
Sunday Oct 2nd LEAGUE GAME vs. Co Springs 12noon @ Foothills
And of course keep in mind that next week will be the Aspen Tournament that will start on Friday November 7th in Aspen.
Please check the schedule daily for any further updates.

Get ready because here we go!OK, team it has been a productive first month. I think the girls have had plenty of ice and have a taste for the type of team we would like to be. Hopefully it's also been fun and I have tried to be as flexible as possible so that the girls didn't have to miss out on homecoming and other important functions. But now we need to start getting geared up for what is going to be an extremely challenging season.
First off....
We have two practices this week and a team meeting:
- Wednesday Practice at 5:15 to 6:30PM
- Team meeting with coaches @ 6:45 until 7PM. (after Wednesday night's practice)
- Friday Practice @ 5:15 to 6:30PM
SCRIMMAGE THIS SUNDAY!
On THIS Sunday Oct 5th will will scrimmage Colorado Springs Independents (CSI) at Honnen ice rink @ 9:45AM. We will have a temporary set of Jerseys for this game. There will be no practices this coming weekend, just the game on Sunday. CSI is typically a very good team so it will be a fun and challenging way to get some game experience. Obviously we need all the girls to make every game. If anyone needs a ride to the game in the Springs please make arrangements prior to this weekend.
ASPEN IS ON!
We received confirmation from Aspen this morning that we ARE IN the FALL FACE OFF TOURNAMENT this November 7th thru the 9th. Julie will start making hotel arrangements soon and we will keep you posted when we get any further information.

The Colorado Jr. Eagles were unanimously voted into the Mountain States Girls Hockey League (MSGHL) at the annual MSGHL meeting this past spring. All of the other MSGHL associations were extremely supportive of a new option for girls hockey to grow in the Denver Metro area. The Jr. Eagles staff couldn't be more excited about expanding the program to include girls teams in the years to come. Girls hockey is growing by leaps and bounds and the Jr. Eagles are proud to be a part of that growth.
The Jr. Eagles will hold tryouts for the U14 and U16/19 age divisions this season and hopefully expand to include other age groups in the years to come. If you are interested in helping the Jr. Eagles Girls progam take flight please send us an
