Jr. Eagles Midget Major's win Eddie Mcpherson Tournament in Casper |

The Colorado Jr Eagles Midget Major team went undefeated and won the
annual Eddie Mcpherson memorial tournament in Casper Wyoming.
The Eagles got off to a fast start by beating the host team "The
Oilers" from Casper on Friday night in front of a packed arena with
local news channels filming all the excitement. The Eagles beat the
hard working Oilers 6-0. Later that same night the Jr. Eagles knocked
off Team Wyoming 5-2
The next afternoon the Eagles faced the Hyland Hills AA '89 team which
gave the Eagles a fantastic game in which the Eagles won 3-1. The last
pool play game for the Eagles had them facing a very talented Jackson
Hole Wyoming team but the Jr. Eagles were on a role at this point and
won 5-0.
The championship game featured the Jr. Eagles vs. the Hyland Hills
Jaguars. The Eagles started extremely slow and were dominated by the
Jaguars in the first period but due to awesome goaltending by the
Eagles the first period ended 0-0. After a quick ice make and what must
have been an inspiring speech by the Eagles coaching staff it was all
Eagles from there on out. The Eagles went on to win the championship 5-0 over the Hyland Hills Jaguars.
