Hello Jr. Eagles Members!
Welcome to the 2007-2008 hockey season.
We are excited to work with many new and returning players. We are
confident that every player will improve their game and individual hockey
skills through strategic practice plans and game scheduling.
To prepare for games, at the start of the season we will be having
several skills sessions with many players and coaches on the ice to maximize
ice time. These sessions will consist of
overall skills as well as practices focusing on specific skills and or
positions.
We will also have dry-land practice to improve strength, quickness and
flexibility to have an edge on competition and avoid injury.
This season you will see lots of
new faces on the ice and behind the bench. We have expanded our coaching staff
to better develop our players. We spent the summer interviewing prospective
coaches, looking for those that best fit the criteria of our association. We
pride ourselves in continuing to find the best coaches so we can continue our
policy of no parent coaches over the squirt level. Our new additions have upper
level hockey experience from Junior A to College, including two Division I
national champions. The Jr. Eagles staff now has new resources that include
position specific coaches, power skating, nutrition and sports physiology.
We are very excited to once again have teams at every age level. With the continuous growth we have had over
the past seasons we will continue to offer teams for all ages and
abilities. The strength of our program
is in our players, they have improved great lengths every season and will
continue to improve with the support of the parents and our continuing practice
schedule. We feel that AA teams are in
the future for our program. It is our
goal to help players improve to have the skills needed to play at that level.
Regardless of the level, we are dedicated to give our players the best
hockey experience to help them be successful in the future.
We look forward to a successful season for our players. Thank you for
your support and loyalty to help the growth and improvement of the Colorado Jr.
Eagles Hockey for seasons to come!
Sincerely,
George Wolff,
Director of Hockey,
Colorado Jr. Eagles
