The Colorado Jr. Eagles would like to announce that for the up coming 2008-2009 season the addition of the Jr Eagles Girls Program to its line-up.  The Jr. Eagles Girls Program will compete in the MSGHL, and will be fielding teams for the non-tier levels.  The Jr. Eagles Girls will get all the same accommodations that all other Jr. Eagles teams currently get, high practice-to-game ratio, jersey’s, equipment bags, and qualified coaching.  

The Jr. Eagles Youth Program is based on improving every players’ individual hockey skills as well as helping all players develop as people.  The Jr. Eagles coaching staff is highly qualified and is determined to give every player the needed attention for improvement.  

The Goal of the Jr. Eagles Girls Program are; to provide a fun and challenging environment for all the members, an affordable ice hockey experience while maintaining the maximum ice time needed for improvement, and finally a competitive atmosphere for all the players in the program.  All players will be treated as if they are the only player in the program.  We strive to not allow any players whether AA, A, or B to be “lost in the shuffle” any player wearing a Jr. Eagles uniform is important to us and will be treated that way.

Youth sports should be fun. The Junior Eagles are committed to providing a fun and safe hockey experience that will provide treasured memories for a lifetime.

Affordable
The Junior Eagles girls program is committed to keeping the overall cost at a minimum, understanding that most families have commitments besides hockey. The Eagles league fees and tournament fees will be held to the most reasonable level possible.

Challenging
While our number one goal is a fun memorable experience the Eagles will challenge each athlete to reach their fullest potential. The Jr. Eagles will stress a high energy style of play that will concentrate the athletes efforts and increase their aggressiveness on the ice.

Competitive
Youth sports should be fun, and striving to reach goals and be as competitive as possible are what makes team sports so enjoyable. The Jr. Eagles Girls program will focus on being as competitive as possible yet not losing focus that the overall goal is to have fun.

The Junior Eagle Advantage

• Small association. The eagles will offer a more focused team experience. The Jr. Eagles have kept their administrative positions to the bare minimum so that the entire association is pushing in the same direction.
• Focused hockey environment. Just because your athlete is not on a AAA team doesn’t mean that their hockey experience should recieve any less personal attention.
• Personal attention. If you have had the feeling you are getting “lost in the shuffle” year and year out the Jr. Eagles are committed to giving your athlete the personal attention she deserves with periodic progress reports and specialty coaches and ice sessions.
• Fundamental Skills Improvement. The Jr. Eagle are focuesed on building your young athlete's skills. The Jr. Eagles are lucky enough to have their own skating instructor (George Wolff) and their own Goalie instructor (Chris Gassman). The Jr. Eagles goal is that each athlete finish the season a better player and a better skater than they were at the start of the season.
• Hockey should be fun - not a chore. There should be no reason that a young athlete at the rec level should be practicing before the sun comes up. With the Jr. Eagles we will not schedule any practices before 8:00AM.
• Coaches that care. For the Jr. Eagles it really is about the kids. Our coaching staff is committed to making sure that each athlete feels welcome and is an equal part of the team fostering friendships that will last a lifetime.
• Being a part of something special. With a small focused association the team belongs to the players and the parents. No more being just another number, instead your team will be yours! Each parent and each player will have ownership in helping make your season the “season to remember” in a positive way for the rest of your life.
