The Colorado Jr. Eagles Midget Minor AA team overcame a short bench to capture the Colorado Cup Championship.  The tournament in Colorado Springs this past MLK weekend was a tough challenge for the Eagles who had to battle with injuries and illness to the entire roster over a 5 game stretch.  The Eagles were matched up for a second time in the tournament against the Vancouver Thunderbirds.  In the first meeting the teams skated to a 2-2 tie.  The Championship game was a monumental test for the Eagles who had only 11 skaters in the line up.  The game was tied 0-0 until 8:00 remand in the 3rd period when the two teams exchanged 2 goals each.  With overtime looking absolute the Eagles picked up a rebound in the slot and slammed the puck into the net with only :14 seconds left in the game.  Congratulations to the entire Minor AA team.
